The Digital Accessibility Program is a campuswide initiative to champion an accessible digital environment at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act, which affirms that access to digital content and technologies is a civil right—not an accommodation—the program works to eliminate barriers in our programs, services and activities, reducing the need for individuals with disabilities to request access. The Digital Accessibility Program is developing a campus infrastructure and culture that ensures the university’s digital platforms not only meet, but exceed, the standards of the ADA and the Illinois IT Accessibility Act, promoting full accessibility and inclusion for all.
